Where Do You Find Inspiration?

I find inspiration for bead colors and designs everywhere! I look at patterns, textures, color combinations everywhere I go. Inspiration can come from almost anything. Can you tell what inspired me to make this set? Mickey and Minnie, of course!

I'm Back!

Wow it's been a long while since I have updated this! I took a bit of a hiatus after my 14-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer in May. I'm happy to say after several rounds of chemotherapy he is happy and healthy. Now it's time for all of us to start moving forward and living again!

Here are some new silver core beads that fit on Trollbeads, Biagi, and Chamilia bracelets. I hope you enjoy them.

Jen Geldard Class Beads Show and Tell

I recently took a bead making class from Jennifer Geldard at The Mandrel in Redondo Beach. The class was fantastic! Jennifer is a great teacher and lots of fun and our group of ten students was wonderful as well. I learned how to make shards (love them!), use enamels, and lots of other great techniques. Here's a sample of my favorite beads from the class.

Silver Core Beads - My New Obsession

I have started making silver core beads that will fit the popular Pandora, Trollbeads, Biagi, and Chamilia bracelets. I use sterling silver tubes and flare the ends and polish them for a beautiful sparkly center.

Customer Creations!

I am so excited that my Etsy customers have been sharing photos of the beautiful jewelry they have made using my beads! I am always amazed at the amount of talent here on Etsy, and am thrilled that these artists have chosen to incorporate my beads into their work. Here are some of my favorites: designsbydehoyos and dkjewels. Be sure to check out their shops!

I have already seen all the decorations in craft stores and if you're like me, now is the time to start thinking about making Halloween jewelry. I have come up with some fun beads for just this occasion - take a look!
